2024 GIVEAWAY

To celebrate reaching 2,000 followers on Bluesky, I’m hosting a giveaway!

Prize

One (1) in-universe newspaper story of approximately 400 words. I will write a fictional news article about your character or party, set in the world of your tabletop game story. I will also provide a front page–style layout. At your option, you can substitute the newspaper article for a similar 1-page fictional media piece, such as a poster, flyer, magazine cover, or magazine page. Below are examples of what I can make. Water jousting article - Spire
Wanter Poster - D&D

Terms and Conditions

  1. The prize is intended for personal use only and can’t be sold or included in any commercial product without my permission.

  2. The prize will be delivered as your choice of a hi-res .png and/or .pdf file to an email address of your choice.

  3. The subjects of the prize must be original characters. If the story you want me to write includes canon NPCs or is set in a distinct universe that is not your own, I’ll create the prize under that property’s fan content policy. Your usage of the prize must adhere to that policy’s terms and conditions in addition to these terms and conditions.

  4. You must be available to work with me to determine the details of what I’ll create for you. You can choose to either meet with me for a short Discord (or other conferencing platform) call, or fill out a short online form.

  5. You retain full ownership of your character and story details.

  6. Though you are not obligated to, you can provide visuals for the prize; if you want me to use a specific image, you must have the rights for its personal use. If you don’t supply a visual, I’ll source one from my stock art collection and/or publicly available images.

  7. I’ll update you on the progress of the prize creation; once when the text draft is done, once when the layout is in progress, and once when I am tentatively finished. You can request adjustments at any of these stages. Once the final prize is delivered, I can’t accommodate requests for further changes.

  8. You cannot use the prize to generate similar or derivative works using AI. Likewise, the prize will be created by me and will not involve the use of AI, LLMs, or similar generative technology.

  9. I have the right to refuse any subject. If I do, I’ll ask you to propose a different subject.

I’m a game designer. If I win, would you write a fictional article for a game setting I created, even if it doesn’t feature a player-created character or party?
Yes, I will write a story for a setting you own, if that’s what you want!
